Is it possible to run a calibration/profile procedure (ie GM EyeOne) on built in displays such as the one with the Apple eMac?
I haven't looked at one closely but I don't recall ever seeing any hardware controls for adjusting the RGB levels.
A friend who owns one of these asked about getting me to build a custom profile.
Hi DaleIt should be possible to profile an eMac. Haven't tried it but have done my PowerBook and several iMacs with an eyeOne. None of these have adjustable RGB hardware controls. This means that the profile software will be attempting to take care of the white point and gamma by adjusting curves in the video card. If this causes a problem, which is probably unlikely, set the software's colour temperature setting to "Native Whitepoint". Either way a custom profile will do a better job than the supplied profile. |
