In my latest calibration with the ORIS Color Tuner / ORIS PearlPROOF Super
paper / K3 inks / Epson 9800 - I am getting an Avg dE .81 / Max dE 5.15
after 3 iterative calibrations. Already my proofs look much closer than the
ones I've just received from my Asian printer's high end digital proofer.
My next step is to modify the background paper simulation as it looks as
though it is adding a bit of cyan to the PearlPROOF Super paper background.
I'm curious as to the reason why?
CIElab Measurement of the ORIS proofing paper = L*96.4 a* -0.2 b*-1.1
ORIS Color Tuner software lets one go in and make Paper Simulation
modification - Adjustments are in CMYK - either with with sliders or
numerically.
Am I correct that if I have actual paper stock that I will be printing on
that I could measure the paper white and adjust the CMYK numbers in Color
Tuner to better simulate the final proof?
