Simplistic but workable solution ( we've had to do this before now ).
Open original file in Photoshop. Put clients proof into lightbox
next to your calibrated/profiled monitor. Adjust image file while
softproofing until you get a match ( near enough for the client to
be happy, given the final press destination ! ) Save adjusted file,
proof adjusted file on high quality proofer , which should now match
the clients 'proof' within the limits of the press/proof gamut of
course ( client is probably running six/seven colour inkjet with
lovely super saturated colours ) . Keep client beside you throughout
the process whilst explaining just how colour management works. Then
charge client for both colour correction and a CM consultancy fee
( double whammy ).
