I doubt I can contribute much to this conversation from a technical point of
view. I found the post I copied here very interesting - as well as the
follow-up here. I do have some questions re bandwidth and the current DVI
connection. Is DVI bandwidth an issue? I'm sure it would be nice to have a
complete 16bit pipe but is the connection a constraint? Same issue with
higher bit depth colour and HDTV? I'm aware of the new UDI interface being
worked on but details seem sketchy....
