Hi Neil.
>From my own experience, I can say with certainty that the Spyder had an
extremely poor performance record in 2000, or thereabout. I know, that's a
long time ago, but still...
At the company where I worked, we had bought a bunch of them (10, I believe,
due to licensing restrictions), and almost all of them produced horrible
results (very yellow, and dim, etc). The very few that didn't, still gave
subpar results.
Understandably, that left a bad taste in my mouth, and I never looked at
that type of device again. If it now produces good results, I would like to
hear from satisfied users. The failure rate then was astronomical, which is
simply not the case with either the EyeOne Display 2 (from personal
experience) or the Optix XR (based on what I hear from others).
Regards.
