David makes an excellent suggestion. Ask for demos. I have used in
production both the EFI and the Colorburst. Each has its pros and
cons. They both configure very differently. I feel EFI offers
simpler configuration, while the Colorburst seems to offer more
control over settings. You will also find differences in function
like the collect mode and auto-rotate.

David,
On the other hand the Colorburst RIP can be calibrated/linerized
and ICC profiles applied as per the original versions of EFI.
EFI, superior color? I can't say either way. I'd ask for samples
or demos.
