There is nothing, to my knowledge, in a RIP like ColorBurst that will keep it from supporting the non-UV version of the EyeOnePro.
Historicially, lots of big, high end RIPS have *required* UV spectros and will yield poor results with non UV devices. From hand-on experience I can tell that I've seen a better skin tone matching and grey balancing on Best/EFI ColorProof with UV devices than with not. For that reason lots of us travel around with both UVcut and normal EyeOnePros (or a DTP70 with it's switchable UV filter). Now that some RIPS are getting smarter about dealing with optical brighteners on a software level that's not as much of an issue as it used to be.
As for ColorBurst, their Pulse/RIP bundles are a great value and they provide the UV filtered Pulse. This system let's you linearize and generate profiles within ColorBurst using XRite's liscenced profiling technology. You can use your EyeOne for linearization but you won't be able to use it for in RIP profiling. I think ColorBurst made the right choice going with the XRite technology and the results speak for themselves.
