Well, I've been able to profile the latest Gutenprint in RGB mode on
my Epson 2400.
Compared with the native driver, gamut appears similar (maybe a small
bug in the Magenta inks ?) resuts from Gutenprint are decent -
Gutenprint has zillions of tunable parameters which I've probably all
got wrong so far, and of course I intend to have fun with CMYK mode
...
This would be a good time for a Gimp-Print expert to get in touch with
me, not least because my reviews are what people tend to turn up when
they do a Google search ;)
Anyway, so far, so good.
Testing is being done with DTP-70, Monaco Profiler 4.8, (Gimp-Print)
V5.0 RC3 on an Epson 2400, with Epson archival matte, evaluation by
using the Chromacity target.
