Don,

Is seems that's exactly what the german authors of PhotoGamutRGB did as I
noted in my earlier post today. So, this space is far from a bad idea except
its usage has to be well defined. On the positive side, it does enclose
comfortably all the four color printing spaces I could thow at it (SWOP,
ISO-12647-2, Gracol), as evidenced by 3D projections in ColorThink. But
depending on the source colors (ProPhoto) it may not be a useful gamut to
convert into since it would then clip.

Incidently, PhotoGamutRGB would be plenty adequate for converting your own
Hutch specially constructed targets (or the Kodak IT8's) into since no color
clipping would result.
