Thanks for the info, but I believe that using the Hutchinson target and
ProfileMaker Pro is a good way to go. I don't have a problem with the
VueScan software per se.
My only real question was whether the scanner supports hardware exposure
control as opposed to only post-processing software exposure control.
(If the latter is true, then I can determine that something is wrong with
the scanner and I can look into getting it repaired.)
