Hi Everyone in the list!!!

I have a problem creating a profile for an epson 4800 with an epson luster photo paper, I use a X-Rite Pulse without UV filter to create it, I alredy check in some websites, and it seems that this papper doesn't has any optical whitener, so It should create a pretty accurate profile.

The problem is that when I see my proof colors in Photoshop CS2 i see one thing, and once that I print that file, the result look with a yellow cast. So I edited and obtain a more accurate print, but my monitor proof looks with a blue cast.

After this I created another profile for an epson 9600 pro, with the same paper, and instead of getting a print with a yellow cast, i get one with a Magenta Cast...

I'm not sure what am I doing wrong, I think it could be that the light that I have in the room is adding noise to my readings of the patches cause when i profile the second printer, I take the reading in a room with green windows, and the oposite of this color is Magenta, and this will explain why it has a magenta cast, while the first one doesn't has it, and maybe the first one which i take the readings was in a room with fluoroscent light, and this one is adding a little bit of blue to the readings, so the printer adds yellow.

Is this possible??? I mean, Is it possible that the environment illumination is affecting the readings of my patch with the X-Rite Pulse? and if it's possible, do you suggest me to take the readings in a dark room so I obtain an accurate profile?

And how can I make to edit my profile without editing the way it looks on my monitor?? so I can use the soft proof.

I hope I make myself clear

Thanks in advance for your responses
