ACD VS CE240

While the CE Eizo line is a nice monitor, I'd have to suggest at the level your at you need to be considering a Eizo CG211.
> I AGREE THIS IS A GREAT MONITOR AT A PREMIUM PRICE.
The decision you need to make is if you need that quality level to work efficiently, and if super accurate soft proofing is truley a critical part of yoru workflow.
>DO YOU REMEMBER THE FIRST DISPLAY ACTUALLY CERTIFIED WITH A PIECE OF SOFTWARE FOR ONSCREEN PROOFING? IT WAS A CINEMA DISPLAY WASNT IT?
Comparing a CG line Eizo to any Cinema screen is like a Ferrari to a Chevy. Not in the same
>I MIGHT HAVE THE TITLE INCORRECT , IF SO I APOLOGIZE, BUT HAVING RECENTLY BEEN AT AN AIRPORT COMING HOME FROM A PRINTING COMPANY I WAS READING THE LATEST ISSUE OF "ROAD AND TRACK" YOU SHOULD READ THE ARTICLE WHERE THE LATEST CORVETTE (READS CHEVY) BEAT THE PANTS OFF THE LAMBO AND FERRARI IN ACCELERATION. ID MORE CAREFULLY ANALYZE MY COMPETITION IF I WERE YOU.
> TO ANSWER TOMS REAL QUESTION WITH PERTINENT INFORMATION THE CE240 IS A PVA PANEL WHICH HAS LIMITED VIEW ANGLE, BUT DOES HAVE DDC-LIKE HARDWARE CONTROLS WHICH IS A GOOD THING. BUT THE VIEW ANGLE ISSUE OVERRIDES THIS ADVANTAGE IMHO. NOW THE APPLE HAS AN IPS PANEL, MUCH LESS VIEW ANGLE SHIFTS. NO HARDWARE CALIBRATION. ID OPT FOR THE LATTER SO MY PICTURE DOESNT CHANGE IF MY BUDGET WAS LIMITED.
I HOPE THIS HELPS. THANKS
