THANKS ROBERT, BUT THIS IS NOT A PROGRAPH PRINTER, THIS IS THE PIXIMA
PRO. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL WITH THE IPFS, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO
GET GOOD PROFILES FOR THE 5000, AND 8000. THE PIXIMA IS A DIFFERENT
BEAST ALL TOGETHER, AND DOES NOT PLAY WELL WITH ANYTHING. I AM HAVE
SOME REAL PROBLEMS GETTING ANY KIND OF GOOD PRINT OUT OF THIS LITTLE
BEAST.

DANA,
WE HAVE AN IPF 5000 + 8000 + 9000, AND HAVE BEEN MAKING REMARKABLE
PRINTS RIGHT FROM THE DRIVER
WITH A MAC, PRINTING STRAIGHT OUT OF PHOTOSHOP CS2. YOU NEED TO
USE AN ADOBE98 RGB TIFF FILE TO SEND
TO THE PRINTER....THIS IS WHAT THE DRIVER WANTS. IF YOU DO THAT
YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW WELL IT
WORKS AND HOW LITTLE EFFORT IT TAKES TO GET GREAT RESULTS. WE ARE
ALSO TESTING OUT 3 RIPS FOR THESE
MACHINES THAT WILL OFFER MORE OPTIONS TO TUNE THINGS. IF YOU TRY
THE ABOVE AND ARE STILL HAVING
PROBLEMS I SUGGEST CALLING CANON AND MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT A
HARDWARE PROBLEM. ALSO, YOU BE
RUNNING THE NEWEST DRIVER V3.5, WHICH IS PROBABLY NOT WHAT CAME
WITH IT....DOWNLOAD FROM CANON'S
SITE, OR THEY WILL SEND A YOU A CD IF YOU ASK.
CHEERS,
ROBERT BULLIVANT
