Can someone comment on Vista's RAW file support? Is is better than current OSX 10.4.8?

Perhaps related: I am not at all happy with how long Adobe Bridge is taking to examine a folder of (Canon) RAW files before I can start editing after a shoot. Usually I have several GB's at a time. There's some startup process Bridge goes through before it brings up full-size previews, and I wish that part were faster (using current Intel Mac/MacBook Pro models).
