The point is that there are more than most people would think, and their
numbers are certainly growing.

I envy your rock-solid certainties ("on the fingers of two hands," "have
given up photography," etc.), but I would submit to you that reality may be
more complex than that.

I did not call these people "monkeys," no matter how unprofessional their
behavior may appear to me.

Incidentally, a less-hostile tone, together with a style of polite
disagreement, would suit this discussion better, in my modest opinion.
