Thank you guys for the answers!

The problem was in the printing system. I did a "Reset Printing System" in the Printer Setup Utility and now everything is fine. I didn't check the "Summary" before the reset, so the problem could be in the "Generic RGB Profile" as pointed below.

If you reinstall Photoshop and get banding, the "radical" reset or the tip below are possible the answers....

In the Epson "Print" dialog window go to "Summary" (3rd drop down box from top) and click the triangle adjacent to "ColorSync" to expand this item. If other than "Generic RGB Profile" is listed adjacent to "Profile", that could be your problem. If that is the case, you might need to set the "Current Profile" for your printer to "Generic RGB Profile" via the ColorSync Utility, Devices>Printers.
