Hi John.
Goes to show how much the client knows sometimes... One hears "CMYK" and
"300 dpi" bloviated in the guise of mantras or good-luck charms by people
who often happen to know very little about their meaning or their purpose or
the way they are used in actuality, but don't have the modesty to defer to
those who know more than they do on the subject.

It's clearly a case of mistaken assignment of responsibilities in the "chain
of command". An AD with little technical knowledge of the output side of
things should not be in charge of technical decisions that he/she is not
qualified for. But such is the case all too often.

I do wish you good luck.

It's a wild new world where everybody and nobody is in charge. Makes for a
whole lot of dizzying confusion, contradictory instructions and
stepping-on-toes.
