What's happening in the ACR pipeline is the data is converted to a linear
encoded space using the ProPhoto RGB primaries then back to sRGB if that's
the encoding color space you selected. At least I suspect that the data was
altered due to this conversion process.
You could attempt to emulate this in your non-Raw import version, by converting to ProPhoto and back...
