I agree there are some disadvantages. Nothing is perfect.

Ah! Maybe that's why Michael Reichmann reported deceivingly low gamut in
spite of the added RGB inks. But, longevity, I think 225 years is honorable.

Depends on who's driving the printer. We're not tied to HP's stuff. GMG, for
instance, offers the use of HP's own and standard testcharts layouts.

Reading patches speed is not its forte, I agree.

I'm not too familiar with all substrates accepted by the printer. OK.

I would not see that as a big risk -- not anymore risky than all the other
offline instruments we're used to.

The comparison would be indeed interesting. Let's not forget that HP
Barcelona has some of the top color scientists on staff today.
