Well said Robert! HP's profiles aren't great but profiles made by software that utilizes the on-board spectro (like GMG) can be. Epson will replace the 7800 and 9800 for new printers incorporating the 3800's improvements and introduce a 60" version. When they do so (probably at PMA) I suspect Epson will maintain their dominance among fine art printers and photographers while HP will remain a strong favorite in prepress and signage markets. I wish Epson could just improve their paper handling...

Semi-advanced users who don't currently make their own profiles might like the perceived "ease of use" of this product. Its our feeling more advanced users will still greatly prefer the control over making, and analyzing their own profiles on any materials they may choose to print on.
