HP's New Printers

While HP's new printers are in our opinion a great idea, there are some issues we feel make this product suitable
for some while unsuitable for others.

First, to accommodate HP's thermal head design, the inks have relatively low concentrations of pigments, limiting both
gamut and longevity.

Second, the "concept" of having a built in spectro is kinda cool, but the downside is:

- HP rather than the user is in control of all the specifics of how those profiles are made.
-It prints a very small patch count, and is slow at creating the profile.
-Obviously you cant be printing a job while its profiling itself
-Limited range of surface textures and materials is will profile correctly.
-Concerns about long term accuracy and functionality of incorporating the spectro with the print head.

Semi-advanced users who don't currently make their own profiles might like the perceived "ease of use" of this
product. Its our feeling more advanced users will still greatly prefer the control over making, and analyzing their
own profiles on any materials they may choose to print on.
