Let's imagine that we could line up the executives who initiated
things like RF sales and 18 month upgrade cycles (whether the products
were ready or not) against a wall and shoot them...
Would Photoshop cease to develop any of its most useful tools?
The blogs of the creative people responsible for the code suggest not.
Well that's getting right to the point Martin. It isn't fair at all and
people should realize that this inequity also applies to software bought
here and then registered for use in the UK. There's no good reason for
it.
Now this is really off topic, but I'm even more upset about the drugs we
pay more than double for and even where it's a matter of life and death,
it's illegal for an American to purchase the same drug in another
country for less money and then bring it home. Adobe has done no worse
than the pharmaceuticals and our own government.
In a country where it's not illegal, and even a virtue, to exploit
conditions for maximum profit, there's no way to stop such practices,
but if it turns out that a boycott of the product results in less
profit, the practice will stop.
