I seem to recall some discussion of a similar-sounding issue awhile back. It
was repeatable, but seemed intermittent at first.
Apparently something in either the driver or driver/OS interaction would
cause the print job to have a different/incorrect profile attached to the
print stream when the Epson was not the "default" printer. So the fix is to
always set the Epson printer as the default (using Printer Setup Utility),
before sending it a print job (the OS does this in #4 below).
What makes this even more bizarre is that some people do not seem to
encounter the issue. And I don't know if OS updates (currently at 10.4.10)
squashed the apparent bug.
But you might try the fix to see if it solves the problem of your #3.
