Many of us have been doing this for years, but we may not carry the
weight of URLs, publications, or white papers. It's not rocket science,
profiling characterizes output. Dan Culbertson, myself, and others were
doing this way back with the old Profiler Pro since it didn't choke on
the unexpected measurements. Later, any profiler you can build, or hack
into, a custom chart for better accuracy in the range of interest (in
this case the neutral axis)
was used. Then Roy made his great profiler specifically for single
channel input/output, but with rgb previews LUTs for hue, since it won't
mux single channel data for the monochrome drivers like ABW, it can also
be used to convert to for output. The previous methods were for
characterization and/or preview only.
