Indeed, but it is quite common in our western economies for demand to be
created by the supplier. Most of our spend on all things digital is driven
by this...camera/hardware m'facturers need to keep their tills ringing, so
we are presented with 'bigger, better, faster' all the time. Same for the
software guys too. A little upgrade here, another there - all for a few
dollars more. It's just business and it makes sense from a P & L pov, but I
would hope that we're all about a bit more than that.
