Somewhat off topic perhaps, but perhaps some of you can help.

I'm off to Korea via Tokyo next month to attend the opening of a
photography exhibit I've prepared for a client, and I would like to
visit a printer or three who is/are up to speed in color management,
capable of printing stochastic screening (down to 10 microns). I can
make time to visit in Korea and/or Japan.

My interest is only in companies capable of, and interested in,
producing outstanding work. Of course, they must have the patience to
work with some one as nutty as most of us on this list.

Cheers,

Dick,
This is precisely what we do...work exclusively with overseas printers and
prepress, on behalf of our clients here in the states (high end artbook
publishers, museums, etc...). Contact me offline (email@hidden) and
I will give you a list and some additional information, unless of course
others in this forum would benefit from this information? I can help you
with Korea and Hong Kong and Mainland China, but not Japan.

Regards,
Bob Rock

Sorry, I'm not looking to hijack this thread, but after reading some of the passionate royalty-free discussions over the last couple of days, the mention of printing high-end images in China begs a question or two.

Do photographers have any issues with their intellectual property being reproduced in areas of the world that may not enforce the same copyright protections as here in the USA? Is this even a consideration?

BTW, we are a "high-end" commercial printer. But then I've never come across a printer that claimed to be "low-end".
