That looks a lot like Quark's Picture Usage?

Yeah, or Freehand's Links window.

It HAS TO happen. This is the single biggest obstacle in InDesign's
color management architecture.

Color space by color space. So, you could, for example, control the
conversion of RGB and Lab elements, and leave CMYK and Grayscale alone.

What about vector vs raster?

I need to handle vector and raster exactly the same. Often you'll have colors shared between vector, raster and native elements. I need them to match.
