this is only if the LED backlighting is supplied using a combination of red, green, blue (and perhaps other) LEDs
Some LCD displays have this capability (such as the mitsubishi) but from what I have been able to determine - and I have played with the new PB for a short while - these new LCD displays are not back lit using a LED triad so we cannot control their color balance.
Perhaps Apple will be looking at this option for future displays, especially the desktop units.
