actually all profiles should have white points that are D50 relative. It just doesn't come up as an issue for most print work as spectral measurements tend to be converted to XYZ/Lab using the D50 illuminant. In the case where a different illuminant is used, the colors still need to be adapted to D50 prior to being written into the profile.
That doesn't mean that the white point becomes D50, just that the media measurement is relative to D50.
