Right now, when I measure a small chart on the i0 (the Atkinson 1728 target), it takes far, far longer for ProfileMaker Pro to generate the profile than for me to read the targets! But I’m on an Intel Mac and under Rosetta, PMP is pretty slow.

FWIW, MonacoProfiler rocks under Rosetta and is faster on Dual Core 2 macs than on any PPC I've tested. Not that I want to discourage XRite from moving forward with a Universal Binary release...  If one uses ColorPort for measurement and MP for profile generation you can measure and generate subsequent targets/profiles simultaneously. The efficiency of this workflow is fantastic when you have a bajillion profiles to make. Hopefully the upcoming XRIte solution will support simultaneous measurement and profile generation too.
