I'd be very pleased with real-world comparisons between iSis and DTP70.
Even if one can not measure exactly the same target with both
instruments, it should be possible to distinguish between repeatability
errors and systematic differences in the following way:
p1: print a chart in iSis layout
p2: print the same chart in DTP70 layout
p3: print the chart in iSis layout again
p4: print the chart in DTP70 layout again
keep sufficient drying time
m1.1: measure p1 with iSis
m2.1: measure p2 with DTP70
m3.1: measure p3 with iSis
m4.1: measure p4 with DTP70
m1.2: measure p1 with iSis again
m2.2: measure p2 with DTP70 again
m3.2: measure p3 with iSis again
m4.2: measure p4 with DTP70 again
c1: compare m1.1 with m1.2 (iSis repeatability, first print)
c2: compare m3.1 with m3.2 (iSis repeatability, second print)
a1: average c1 and c2 (iSis repeatability)
c3: compare m2.1 with m2.2 (DTP70 repeatability, first print)
c4: compare m4.1 with m4.2 (DTP70 repeatability, second print)
a2: average c3 and c4 (DTP70 repeatability)
a3: average m1.1 and m1.2 (iSis, first print)
a4: average m3.1 and m3.2 (iSis, second print)
c5: compare a3 with a4 (printers repeatability, iSis)
a5: average m2.1 and m2.2 (DTP70, first print)
a6: average m4.1 and m4.2 (DTP70, second print)
c6: compare a5 with a6 (printers repeatability, DTP70)
a7: average c5 and c6 (printers repeatability)
a8: average m1.1, m3.1, m1.2 and m3.2 (iSis readings)
a9: average m2.1, m4.1, m2.2 and m4.2 (DTP70 readings)
c7: compare a8 with a9 (systematic differences)
- use a1 to estimate the iSis repeatability
- use a2 to estimate the DTP70 repeatability
- use a7 to estimate the printers repeatability
- use c7 to estimate the systematic differences between iSis and DTP70

If someone is more interested I will measure the same target twice in
Isis and in dtp-70 and will post actual results from measure tool.
Derek, if you would be so kind as to take on the printing and
measurement part I will perform the evaluation and post the results.
