One last comment based on another note from Irena at ColorByte.

Irena notes that the error in print length may show up differently depending on the media used in the printer and the Media Type parameter set in the driver/software. For different papers/media it maybe necessary to run similar tests to the ones she did figuring out the Media Feed Adjustment value that will compensate for the error in media feed. Also, she notes that the Media Feed Adjustment feature was not available for the ImagePrint RIP on older printers, like Epson 9000/9500/7000/7500, so Steve, there may not be a means for you to fix your image length problem without scaling your image in the length direction, as Epson may not have added the hardware/firmware for this adjustment to your printer.
