Is the image compressed to a smaller size or cropped?
Using an Epson 4000 and Colorburst we get a 0.6mm crop in length.  Colorburst allows an insertion of extra blank space to length of image which cured our problem.  A workaround for image cropping by printer, if your RIP/print driver does not allow any adjustments, is to increase canvas size in length by , say, 1 CM in white.
