Has anyone successfully achieved color managed printing through a Windows XP network using an ICM printer profile?
My client has multiple work stations printing to multiple printers. I have standardized file creation to Adobe RGB based PDF. I would like to place a printer profile in the admin level driver to convert document colors to custom printer CMYK for certain problem printers. My attempts have failed to correct the file color even though the profile is correctly residing in the driver as a default with ICM "enabled" in the driver settings. (The profile itself works. Test images converted to that profile in Photoshop print color corrected.)
I can find nothing in the color user group archives verifying that this actually works. Microsoft explains how to place the profile in the color management tab, nothing else.
Has anyone made printer
profiles work at the XP admin level or can someone guide me to useful, practical documentation for this? Is this too much to ask from Windows?
Thanks,
Randy Zaucha
