Title: RE: Process control in a G7 world
Hi Roger,
Sorry for a slow reply. As others mentioned it is simple.
One ‘low tech’ site I have G7 calibrated only measures solid cmyk as they cannot ‘read all’ to get a density figure like the one mentioned. A very basic densitometer is all they have (Density and Dot).
I set up a 53%K patch next to a 50C/40M/40Y patch and they look for a visual match after the densities are at target. Generally speaking they are just looking at density and everything else is falling into place.
It runs on two presses 24 hours/7days without issue.
They tell me their customers have been phoning them to compliment the high quality print coming out of the plant ! The Sales Reps love it too.
Regards,
Dan Wilson
