GMG and Epson 9800 Proofing

  • Subject: GMG and Epson 9800 Proofing

I was curious to see if I could get some suggestions
on sharpening type on my epson 9800. I am using GMG
Color Proof 4.1.8, I believe, and using GMG 230
stock. It seems as though my type is heavier than it
should be. I did Print head alignment so I have good
registration. On my rich blacks my reverse type is
almost plugged.
I have heard of a sharpening feature, in GMG. It is
not well known about but there is some modifications
you have to make to a text file in GMG to enhance
sharpening in certain versions of GMG. Anyone out
there that can refresh my memory about it, I would
appreciate it. Also if you have other suggestions to
throw my way I'd appreciate it as well.

Thanks in advance for the help

Steve Lehning
