Unique is just the coding of the "Profile", MX4 is a propriatory
format. Technically speaking, it´s a device link. And device link
profiles were among the first profiles defined in 1993. It´s
astounding that it took nearly 15 years before these profiles
appeared on the radar screen of a handful color geeks and still are
not mainstream.
Check with your RIP manufacturer (or read the manual) to find out if
your RIP supports ICC device link profiles. The chance is rather
than not.
Get yourself a device linker or have a link made by a service
provider – and use the RIP you are used to.
