Dick,

You owe it to yourself to try first to exhaust all your options in
calibrating this beautiful display using NEC's own tools. After all, that
NEC colorimeter has special correction factors for your very display. So, in
principles, the "generic" EyeOnePro will not work as well.

As for tweaking its settings to match your old Cinema Display, judging from
your description, it sounds as though you'd need D65/2.2 at a lower
luminance. I'd be surprised that Spectraview II does not offer any choice
for custom or pre-defined luminance level?
