Each engine seems to have its own "look" so personal testing is very useful.
PMP has an amazing integration with the iSis -barcodes- which could be
a significant factor if you have an intense or stressful workflow. If
I remember my tests rightly, you just throw a target into the iSis and
the software retrieves the reference file automagically, and know
which page you're feeding in. This makes the operation fussfree and
minimizes errors.
I think if you want to use iSis with Monaco Profiler you have to go
through Colorport. On the other hand, profiler is well integrated with
the DTP70 which is discontinued but still a beautiful instrument if
you're lucky enough to own one already. Profiler is my own favorite
because of its look but this is a personal choice.
Basiccolor's new Print 3 has also got a very innovative workflow: It
can generate a batch of profiles with various renderings from one set
of charts. I don't know if this software is available in English -yet-
or whether it supports your favorite instrument. Basiccolor have
time-limited demo licensing so you can test this one to your heart's
content.
