Hi Rolf.
I used the DVL AppleScript to perform the eciRGB v2 > Epson 4800 conversion
(since I don't own any other tools that can execute DVL conversion tasks),
and I am impressed. The image converted using the provided DVL looks
perceptibly better than those converted in Photoshop using either RelCol or
Perceptual. Less clipping, truer colors, better overall.
Now the question is: how does one create high-quality DVLs without spending
the megabucks required by the current crop of device link profile creation
software? I mean, whatever the reasons, their prices are out of sight.
Anyway, thank you for providing these materials. It all seemed very
persuasive.
