By default, CMYK is not converted at print time in InDesign.
In the print dialog, in the Color Management section.
Options>Output Color>Preserve CMYK Numbers is checked by default.
This needs to be unchecked in order for CMYK content to be color
managed,
Is this the case in all instances? For example, If the ID color
settings are set to preserve embedded profiles, and the embedded
profile in an image differs from the default CMYK working space, when
printing letting ID determine colors, there will be a conversion
despite having "preserve CMYK numbers" checked.
