I have not measured via Color Verifier, although if I had a need to I would.
The reality is that we give our "Pre-Proofs" to our printer and they accept
them as a "Contract Proof". Typically their presses can get close enough for
us to all be happy. We do Relative Colorimetric Proofing simulating SWOP
2006 V3, we really like the new SWOP Profile and are using it as our
standard. We do use HP's Semi Gloss Contract Proofing Material, I find it's
one of the best proofing materials out there. Profiled via the ECI2002
Target and Moderate GCR our results are satisfactory.
I do want to set us up as certified G7 Proofer, I am set to go that route
via David Piccus help http://www.piccus4color.com when I have the time.
