If you want to do the CMYK to CMYK conversion with a limited TAC but
without any color quality loss, the only way to go is device link
profiles. If you want to do that in your desktop applications the
only way (known to me) to do it is with basICColor demon. It lets you
define a replacement table for pairs of ICC device profiles to be
substituted by a device link profile. The beauty of the system is
that you can use it in the normal way you use Photoshop (or InDesign
or Acrobat) with all its tools and benefits (immediate preview
ettc.). You donĀ“t have to learn how to handle additional tools or
plug-ins.
