What type of lighting do you have?
My lighting is tungsten.
That's about the worst kind of lighting you could have, unfortunately.
Upgrading to higher quality lighting will not only allow for better
critical print viewing but it will also allow for better print to
screen matching. Color management starts with good lighting!
Consider installing track lights with MR 16 heads, Solux 4100K 36
degree 50 watt bulbs and convex-planer diffusers. This is the highest
quality artificial light made today. There are other options too but
Solux track lighting is surprisingly affordable and high quality.
If you do upgrade your lighting then take a second look at your
display calibration. As a rule of thumb I feel one should match the
whites onscreen to a white piece of paper both in terms of luminance
and color. There is much more to discuss but this would be a great
place to start.
