Andrew,

 As Klaus indicates there are  some pro tools for people whose job is
proofing. These aren't automatic diagnostics that tell Joe User that
he has a problem and indicate which steps need to be fixed.

 Admitting that the user experience with photo color is totally
miserable is the first step to fixing it.
