2008 minus 6 or 7 is 2001-2002. Don't imply that
I meant 1998.

OK, I admit the word ‘devolved’ is not very
accurate. What I meant is while the profiling
software and hardware are advancing.
The non-RIP print path is broken as Tom
previously mentioned. That path used to
be more stable in 2001-2002, before OS X
came, when printer driver was more ‘simple’.

And that brokening creates doubt and
confusion that prevents  many ‘serious amateurs’
to enter and invest in CM tools. And the
brokening is also a pain even for CM-aware users.

I think you already know that. This is just to
clarify my previous post, don't want to be
misunderstood (and referred to—if that's the case)
in the wrong way.
