Kim,
I, like a few others that opted into the group purchase, now use the new HP
Dreamcolor LP2480zx, and absolutely love it. But it may be out of your
budget. I previously used a 24" Dell 2405FPW and I was VERY happy with it. I
purchased it a few years ago, so don't know what the replacement model is,
but for the money, I thought it was a very solid performer. For the 3+ years
that I had it, a comparison of the profiles over the years showed very
little movement. It has been a rock solid performer, although the color
gamut is roughly equivalent only to sRGB, whereas there are new displays out
there now with larger gamuts. But again, for the money, the Dell was very
nice indeed.
Also, I have a friend that bought a very inexpensive Samsung 226CW and says
it has a very wide color gamut. The important distinction here is the "CW",
which is quite different than their "BW" displays.
Good luck.
Bob

Subject: New monitor
Could I get some recommendations for a new monitor for photo editing.
I'm interested in a 24" or 27" monitor at the lowest price possible
for a "good" display. Any comment on the Dell ULTRASHARP 2709W . I'd
love to afford an Eizo, but I'm not sure I can swing the cost right now.
Thanks,
-Kim
