Not only didn't I say anything of the kind, it wasn't even close to
"along those lines".

Funny, I can see ICC input (camera) profiles in Photoshop just
fine. Can use em too (in Photoshop),
not that I've seen the need....
You're really still having difficulties with the language and I'm kind
of done here bud. I point out I can see em in Photoshop (and
Illustrator, and inDesign, all are Adobe products). I have no need for
them based on the Raw converter I've opted to use.

ACR/LR, nope, and its not necessary (at least no one has
demonstrated the need to Thomas Knoll).
Yup, I still have access to camera profiles. So what's your point in
quoting this again? And how does it become useful to you in supposedly
backing up what you think is a claim that I feel nobody needs ICC (or
non ICC) camera profiles? It doesn't. If you're going to quote me, use
a quote to back up what you hope will make your point.
These were the quotes I referred to. Might well be that because of
my limited knowledge of English, I got them wrong. If so, I'm sorry.
Yes, you got them wrong (in that you don't understand the text). You
might want to associate what I said as "One of the first reactions to
this review was a remark of Andrew along the lines that nobody needs
ICC camera profiles, anyway" but you're hard pressed to do so. What
you're looking for, and can't find because I've never said it is
"nobody needs ICC camera profiles, anyway". What I've said is that the
vast majority of Adobe users haven't abandoned their Raw products or
even complained about it due to a lack of ICC camera profiles. And the
camp that agonizes about the lack of profiles hasn't provided adequate
evidence that they are necessary in providing a user desirable
rendering or that the product is flawed. Its a bias. Some people just
want what they can't have, even if they don't need that something.
What separates us is that I also don't have any such respect for
Adobe (this or any other). ;-)
Well I suppose then you don't use any of their products? Or you use
them and just don't respect the people who built the products? Either
way, doesn't matter. We're all free to select products and solutions
from companies we like or don't. But the bottom line is, one should
separate personal opinions from the science, if we can call it that,
of reviewing differing technologies AND look at the market and users
whom the technology is directed. Some can bitch all they want about
the lack of ICC camera profiles in Adobe Raw converters but the huge
majority of end users don't care, nor is this a hindrance (or they
wouldn't be using it).
The very fact that you have placed a number of Raw converters in some
differing default or null behavior to then analyze a profile built on
top of that, with no regard to those rendering settings is enough of a
red flag for me to question what it is you're trying to prove.
