Yes that should be fine. In general, a fixed delta in higher CCT values (e.g., near D65) makes much less difference than the same delta at lower CCT values (e.g., near illuminant A, ~2850 K). Samples on the chromaticity curve are spaced roughly evenly with respect to inverse CCT. (This is why the interpolation between matrices & tables between the two illuminants in DNG profiles is done with respect to inverse CCT.)
