The terms are not interchangeable, generally.
But profiles can be used to hold (and sometimes apply) calibration
data/corrections.
Uli does seem to be concerned with artistic intent/pleasing rendering
profile application, not calibration. But he didn't read enough about ACR or
DNG profiles to understand that they include calibration.
